The price can be a bit negotiable as it's hard to price pianos, especially older ones. Considering this piano has been played and learned on by no less than 10 children in 2 generations, me the longest at 14 years, it is in good shape and would serve a beginner well. The piano itself has scratches and dings here and there, but nothing that a little cosmetic touch ups can't fix. The bench definitely needs some cosmetic touch up and the legs tightened a bit. The bench is original and holds music inside of it. I have not played it for quite a while, but it has always been well taken care of and in a climate controlled environment. It definitely needs tuned and may have a couple other repairs needed. It was my Grandparent's piano in their home before it came to me. It is one of their popular Betsy Ross Spinet models. It was made by the Lester Piano Company in Philadelphia in 1953. This sweet, beautiful piano would be perfect for a beginner to learn on before buying a newer better piano.
